Brian Grennan leads his Tai Chi classes with talent, humor, patience, and just the right touch of rigor. Brian has been practicing and teaching Moy Lin-Shin Tai Chi for seventeen years. He is particularly gifted at breaking down complicated moves in a way that students quickly grasp. Brian fosters a caring and can-do attitude among his students. Brian also has trained a cadre of guides and corners to help you follow along--no matter how new you are to Tai Chi Maine. You will be able to see and follow a guide or corner from any beginner's position in the room, and you will always find
warm friendly smiles.
Beginner Tai Chi Class
The Beginner Tai Chi Class meets on Thursdays at 10:00 AM
All Tai Chi Maine Members are welcome and encouraged to join the Beginner Class
Set Practice Tai Chi Classes
Held at the Bridgton Old Town Hall at 10:00 AM on Tuesdays
This class offers open practice sessions where students who have already learned the 108 moves of the Tai Chi Form of Master Moy Lin-Shin can get additional help and practice. Students determine which of the moves to concentrate on during a given session. You will have an opportunity to improve each move in order to derive maximum relaxation and health benefits. The class will do at least one complete set of the 108 moves at each practice session. Even if you are new to Tai Chi Maine, or a new graduate of the Beginner Class, you will feel comfortable with this group and will have many people in the class to help you.
Held at the Bridgton Old Town Hall at 10:00 AM on Fridays - Lead by Kappy Springer
Beginner practice sessions will resume in September 2017, when the new Beginner class commences. Beginner students can practice the moves they have learned in class or get extra help with any move they wish. As always, experienced guides will be there to help. All experienced folks are encouraged to attend the class to get to know our beginning students -- and to practice and refine their own moves.
